Default Wolverine Exhaust.

Has anybody modified the stock exhaust like Mickey Dunlap suggested?

I just bought the FST intake and Mickey said the stock exhaust is fine but it should be made to flow better by modifying it. Is he talking about the spark arrestor? Anybody with some insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Seth.

Thanks for the reply SpDdEmOn, I have switched my thinking. I am thinking that a I will keep the stocker to switch back to when I go hunting or just for the sake of having the original.

New question though. Is there any difference between the FMF MegaMax and the SuperTrapp Ids2? They are of similar designs other than the super's discs are located inside. The Super is cheaper as well? I would like the White Bros. E-series but I feel the others will be quieter and are a more reasonabe price.

If you or anybody else has input or would like to talk me in a different direction, please feel free.

As I stated earlier I got the FST intake and if I go with a new pipe what kind of jet size would you reccomend. Have you any opinion on the Dialjet?

I think I would go with the FMF before I went with the Supertrapp. I like my E-Series just fine though. I love the way it sounds on this engine.

As for jet sizing, I think that you have something around a 141 on that stock 34mm carb. With all of the intake and exhaust mods you should be around a 150. As for the Dial-A-Jet, I think LotusPosition has one of these and could tell you more about how they work.

Thanks SpDdEmOn, your opinion on the exhaust is the same as I have read on numerous other posts. Nothing against SuperTrapp, but every body suggested FMF.

I will try to conjure up LotusPosition on the Dialajet issue.

Thanks again!
