OT Crotch Rocket Insurance costs
#1
Hey guys this is a question for you guys who have Rockets, What does it cost to insure one?
The bikes i'm most interested in are the R1 R6 CBR600RR and CRB1000RR or bikes around that grade late 90's up to 04
Thanks guys for the help.

progressive is the cheapest for me. my daytone cost me $45 per month for full coverage and my busa was the same when it was street legal. the only thing about the bike you listed is they fall in the sport bike class and will be higher. for some reason the triumph daytona and the gsx1300r are classed as sport tourers with my insurance and are a lot cheaper. you age will make a huge difference too. i'm 41y/o so they cut us old folks a break. whats your riding experience? the R1 and the cbr1000 are great bikes but you need to have a few years of riding sport bikes under your belt. even the 600cc of today put out some good power.

Thanks for the info you've been a big help.
I agree with crb1000 and R1 are for riders who have been riding sport bikes for years.
I have riden but i don't think my skill level is high enough for an R1.
I've got my eye on a CBR600RR
I just threw out a broad rang of bikes to get an idea on insurrance.
Thanks again.

cbr600 is a great bike. has plenty of power and handles great. i've also been hurt on a 600 more times than any other bike, mainly because by the time i switched to the larger bike i had learned respect and developed some skills. i made the mistake of starting out with a 1000cc bike as my first street bike and spent six weeks in the hospital, although it could have happened on a smaller bike just as easly because someone pulled out in front of me. check with different insurance companies and ask what class they out different bikes in it could make a bike diffence on the cost. have fun and be safe.
