Default Bleeding Brakes?

When I changed my swingarm bearings, I had to take my brake line off the caliper...now...how do I get them back so they work again? My brother has tried to Bleed em one way I am not sure how and he has also just sat there and pumped them for like 20 mins without the level of brake fluid going down...what do I do? I have no idea what to do now. Any suggestions would help.

Default Bleeding Brakes?

When bleeding brakes, a procedure must be followed to purge air but not let new air in. When you crack open the bleed screw, push down slowly on your brake pedal ( or squeeze slowly on the handle in case of fronts) until it's all the way down, then CLOSE the bleed screw BEFORE letting back up on the brake pedal so it doesn't suck in air. When the bleed screw is closed, let it up, then repeat this process. Watch your master cylinder (you can leave the cap open) and keep it full so you don't drag in air from the top. Do this for a while and soon you'll have air-free brakes that work.
