Has anyone ever put YFZ 450 shocks front on a Raptor? I'm in the process of doing it. The Kayaba shocks on the 450 are much better than the Raptor stock shocks. I got them to fit at the top but I think I'll have to a hole cut the bottom plate to allow the larger base to work in the mount. Any help would be great. I'm using stock a-arms.

From what I understand you just have to do a little grinding on the mounts to get them to slide in. It has been done numerous times.

They are better than the stockers, but probably not as good as a set of triple rate works. That said, you can get yfz shocks for 150 bucks or less where as you are looking at twice that for a new set of works shocks.

If all you do is trail ride and you have a budget, its a good investment. If you race and jump and need the suspsension to work, skip both and go to elka, pep, or another big name.
