atm the size of the rear tires on my warrior is 22x10-9. I'd like to put other tires on the same rim, like a 22x11-9. Is this possible?
Tx

Just about any tire will go on any wheel, as long as the wheel diameters match. going from a 10 inch wide, to a 11 inch wide, makes no difference. sometimes a 10 inch wide tire from one company is the same as a 11 from another. Remember, the tires do flex and bend, so they will fit.

On a 22x10x11 size tire the height is 22 the rim is 10 and the width is 11????
Just need to make sure before I order some new tread.

for a 22x10-11:

22 is the height of the tire
10 is the width of the tire
11 is the height of the rim (this has to match the diameter of the breach in your tire)

What kind of difference if any would going from the 22" tires that are on my 96 sport 400 and changing them to maybe 18 or 20. Would there be much of a difference???? and some recommendations would be appreciated. All I have been looking at are Holeshot only wanting to spend about $40 a piece.

Well, you can calculate the difference:

22" tire: 11" x 2 x pi = 69"

18" tire: 9" x 2 x pi = 56,5"

...

With an 18" tire your topspeed will be about 82% of your actual topspeed. I think there are some limitations, cos a tire which is too small can damage your engine. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

If you drop down from 22's to 18's you will lose two inches of ground clearance which is actually quite a bit. You will also notice you will have a better low end but will have a slower top speed. I dont think it would screw up your engine but it might wreck havoc on your drivetrain because of different gear ratios and everything. I will let the experts correct me on that one cause im not sure.
