Indications of pistons getting fried?

i would suggest that you pull the plug and put your finger over the hole. then turn the motor over. see how much compression you have. you can tell when there isn't much because it won't even move your finger. be sure not to stick your finger in the hole, because that won't be pretty!!

you can pickup a compression tester for around $20, they are a required tool for the DIY 2 stroke owner.
