Default 04 foreman es question

I recently bought an 04 foreman es with ITP rims and tires. After a few weekends of breaking it in and trail riding I'm ready to do some mud riding. The dealer basically told me no atv was meant to be in water or mud more than about 6" deep.? I'm wondering if I'm going to have problems with the electric shift.

The mud isnt going to cause many es problems, but it can cause other problems. Most notable is the rope pull, will fill with mud and cause lots of problems. Make sure you rinse out the pull start houseing , before the mud hardens.
Keep the shift buttons clean, and try to keep stuff out of them. If water and dirt get behind the buttons, it will cause shifting problems.
Im surprised they told you 6 inches, of water is the limit. Most people take theirs into much deeper water and have no worries.
Buy some dielectric grease and keep the spark plug cap, and other electrical connectors, coated, so they stay dry when in the deep stuff.

Yea you eventually will have front wheel bearing failer...Like I did with my forman. Although you wash it off, just the fact that you maybe washing it to much may couse a problem too or washing it off while bearing are still warm which will draw water into them even though they are sealed. . The honda mech told me that. He also said that people think are coverted submarines too. LOL
