air/fuel screws
#1
think I'm right but want to double check. turning the screw out will allow more air to mix with the fuel and turning it in will richen the mix up. I got 30 pilots( i know to big, but cant get 25's in time for the race) the worked on the 660 with 2.5 turns out, really rich but rideable, when I put them on the 686 my friend(not pat so dont start, my other friend) told me to put them at 2 turns out cause he thought that would lean out the 30's. not thinking I did and now it wont run smoothe at low speeds/rpm you got to get the rpm's up a bit and get in the throttle to smoothe it out. Anyway, after thinking it over I should just turn the a/f out to about 4??? and this might be close enough for this weekend and I can put the 25's in as soon as they come in..any thoughts or suggestions?? sixsixT???you got to know!!

thanks sixsixT, I'll try turning them in and see what happens, just thought it was weird that it worked at 2.5 out on the stock raptor but runs like crap now at two out. the 22.5's made it stumble a little but not as bad. but before you tell me I am going to make sure the float level is good before I do anything else, I am running straight 101 race gas now so I'm sure the floats are off too. Thanks for the input, and I'll let you know what happens tomorrow

well I checked the float level and was suprised to find it was perfect, one was juast a tad higher than the other. Anyway i turned the screws in to 1.5 and that made it worse almost wouldnt start, so I backed it out to 3 and it was better but not good enough. I moved the clip on the needles up to 5 and put a/f to 4 out and that did the trick, it runs really good now, so good I might just leave the 30's in there. Thanks for the help....
