I have heard through the grapevine that polaris is making a new 700cc twin cylinder four stroke sport atv with a manual transmission and manual clutch. Has anyone else heard anything about this quad? I guess its supposed to compete with the raptor and the ds 650. I would be pretty cool.

2001 raptor on order
1999 600 yamaha grizzly
1985 honda atc 350x
1986 honda atc 350x (for sale)
Wanted 1987 yamaha bw350.

The mechanic at my local dealer told me about it last week. He said he saw a picture of it. He said they're talking about a next spring release.

The new 700 is going to be a sport or utility quad? I thought someone on this forum posted it was going to be a Sportsman 700!

I know for a fact that this is not the case and Polaris is not working on anything like this because Jack Schultz hasn't ever built anything with a 700 engine in it. Maybe Jack will build one and show Polaris how it's done, after all he is the self-proclaimed Polaris god. Polaris just copies him. All hail JACK!!!

my dad works at the polaris factory and he know for a fact that they have something in the works he just doesn't have any details other than it will be a new sport model with manual transmission and manual clutch. Its supposed to be an ALL NEW engine partner.

I heard that too truckwasher. I heard that the new engine is going to be a domestic one. This will make history if it is. As far as I know, it would be the first American ATV engine.

If this things for real, I will have a new quad in my garage next spring. Like a kid in a candy store.
