I've just been assigned to manage a fleet of quads and I want to know if it makes sense to put tubes in all of my slowly leaking tires. The problem is that these tire slowly leak the air out, but when I bring the tires to the shop, and they put bubbly stuff on them , they show no leaks... If it makes sense to put the tubes in... any air pressure recommendations? will putting a tube in a tubeless tire cause any problems? How critical is it to balance these tires? BTW, I've got a couple of Sportsman700efi's in Mossy Oak. These things flat out RIP! My boss wonders why I smile sooooo much now...

 

The problem with putting tubes in them is that if you get a puncture, you can't plug it. You will need a new tube. How fast do you usually go with these quads? If you arent traveling at high speeds often, I would recommend putting tire Slime in them. That will seal the leaks. However, some people, including myself have experienced tire shake at speeds in excess of 45mph. But, others havent. Plus, the slime will seal any future punctures. Just my $.02 worth.
