04,330 TRAILBOSS

I bought an 04 330 trailboss about 1 month ago. Love the bike but have some small issues. The chain vibrates on the swing arm at certain rpm's and it is really annoying. Yes the chain is tight and not too tight. Also when I get in water up to the bottom of the seat it will die. It will not start back up till it is out of the water. I had to remove the chain guard because it rubs against the sprocket guard. Anyone know why it dies in water and how to fix the chain vibration? Does your 330 (if you own one)do the same thing?

Sometimes the Trailblazer is too much. Most of my friends have sp's and riding on rocky trails and all day rides with my 250 can be rough. I like the 330 for the all day riding and I like the power for just creeping up hills and the racks for the cargo. Plus my 250 is a little to loud and agressive for some of the places we ride. I can also go all day on less than 1 tank of gas on the 330. The 250 needs to fill up at least 2 times.

Mine would sputter in deep water. Took the carb off and put white grease around all the rubber seals, from engine back to air filter. Had it in deep water this past weekend and didn't have any problems with it. Was riding with my nephew, he had his Scrammy. Got stuck twice because we had rutted out the creek bed and the crossing. He thought it was real funny till he got stuck in the same 2 places.

I recently purchased two 330 Trail boss's. My chains also make noise, whether they're freshly lubricated or not. The chain guard on both bikes also rub on the sprocket. I believe it's just a design flaw.
As far as the water issue, the book tells you not to go through water deeper than the footrest.
