Got a 2003 400ex. It has a very bad vibration when you rev the motor up to a certain rpm then it leaves. What do you guys think is wrong here? Dont smoke a bit got plenty of power, can anyone help me out here. Nothing looks to be loose on the bike. Got all the fenders off of it.

does this vibration happen when in neutral?, or when in gear. The 400ex always has had a bit of vibration that is normal

 

Does it in Neutral or in gear riding. Does it either way. My dad has a 2001 400ex and it has a slit vibration. But nothing like this bike. It has a pretty bad vibration. You can feel it threw the handlebars and footpegs.

 

i would go and tighten up all the bolts on the bike. remember to tighten up engine mounts, foot pegs, case saver, heat shield on exhaust, etc

 

well the 400 does have a slight vibration... i remember when i got mine i thote there was somthin wronge with it too but it was all normal just take some gettin used too...it is like a misinlined counter balencer problem wear you can't ride it for more thin 45 min because it vibrated the crap out of you, or is it just a little when you revv it

 

No its just a slit vibration at a certain rpm. But it runs perfect and doesnt smoke a bit. It came with the baffel out. I put one in and noticed it alot. So now i pulled it back out and just gonna ride it.
