Default Which Utility quad would get the job done

So Im looking to buy a utility quad. I've read quite a few threads here and haven't found the answer to my question although some of the threads have came close. In the intrest of not "THREAD STEALING" I decided to create my own.

Im looking at buying either of the 2 bikes.

Polaris Tail Boss 330 2003 model 3k
Kawasuckie (Pun intended) Prairie 200 1998 model $2700.00

Im looking to pull a 44" swisher mower with this quad that will mow around 4-5 acres of weeds. (Amazing how weeds grow better then grass) And Im concerned that the Trail Boss 330 might not be able to handle the work load of pulling around the swissher mower. To me the trail boss looks more like a sport quad then a utility quad.

Does anyone have any input on if I can pull around this mower without any problems?
Could I put a front blade on the trail boss and push snow around? Or would it be geared too high?

The advantage with the trail boss is if I decided to do some trail riding with it I can.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Obviously the better deal is the trail boss. Get it, and it will do the job you are looking at, just keep it in low range.

According to some of the specs i've read it doesn't talk about having a high/low shift selection. I haven't had the chance to look at the Trail boss yet I'm going at lunch. Can someone confirm for sure that it has a High/Low range selector on it?

If not I will look at lunch.

It was my impression that just about all of the polaris atvs did. My mom has a 99 xpress 300 which is a 2 stroke trail bike and it has low range.

Polaris is notorious for making the some of if not the best towing/hauling atvs around. While the model he is looking at is more of a trail bike than a pure ute like a magnum, it whould be sufficient for his needs. The king quads were nice, but dont have all the much more power and the parts are much harder to find. Not to mention they stopped making the king quad a few years ago and the new model has nothing in common with the old.

Problem with the King quad is it might be geared a little low. For around the farm grunt it's probably a great little quad. But if you need some get up and go this probably isn't the bike you want. I still want to be able to run around with my buddy and his wife that both have quads. But still be able to use it around the farm also.

I like the sportsman lineup of polaris however they are a little out of my price range in the 5k market.

The advantage with the polaris is their auto tranny's are durable and stand up to the punishment. I would throw a Honda Rancher into the mix but the problem is it's hard to find them used and I'm not willing to pay the extra money for new when I can find a good deal on used.

Any think special to look at on the 330 as far as problem areas?

Thanks.
