On the outdoor channel they did a ride review of the DS650. It was the guy with the beard. Can't rememeber the name of the show, but he was saying how much of a handful the DS650 was. He went on the say that the DS650 was the first high-performance to through him off of it during a turn. The most interesting fact for alot of people was that he also stated that it was the fastest sport-quad!!!!

 

i've caught that show before, but mostly they do utility quads. this guy doesn't sound like much of a rider, but wish i would have caught this episode

with some mods they can be faster, but for how long of a race.

I saw the show, in fact I had it recorded. Its Sport ATV Television is the name of it. The guy's review that he does on utilities and stuff seam to be pretty much spot on. This review though I was laughing pretty hard. When the quad threw him he was trying to overstear a corner and didnt give her enough throttle to break the back loose. And from the riding I seen him do, it was like he was scared of it. Kinda a small guy to boot. Even the rags said the DS excelled in places that he didnt. What a toon.

NO the YFZ is not faster than the DS stock for stock period. Open the YFZ up a bit and it is faster but then you get into the whole mods to the sky limit thing and until The BOM or Jeffinrivercity get beat, the DS is the King period.

 

Well then we must have bought a slow DS650 and a fast YFZ450, because my son's YFZ whooped my DS pretty badly when they were both stock. If the race were a quarter mile long I suppose I could catch him, but the standard ATV drag race is only 300', or 660'.

Is this guy named Doug, and is this the same show as ATV Television? Kind of funny that he fell off the DS, LOL.
