The 450 is fast. But I haven't seen one beat a DS yet. Just two races I've seen though.
Besides that's like saying the Supra is faster than a certain Ferrari. It may be, but at the end of the day it's still a Toyota (Yamaha) & the Ferrari (DS) well, it's still a Ferrari. Too each their own I guess but I can't see giving up this bike for a "me too" quad. Every one & their mom is going to own a YFZ. why? Because dirtwheels said it was cool.

As far as that show. That guy is a fool. He is boring & does the worst interviews ever. When talking to the racers he acts like he has never seen a quad before.

 

well i will say this... the pred raptor and ds are fairly even not one smokes the other... but ive smoked a pred and raptor on my 450... and so have plenty of others... so why is it the DS never looses to a 450???
and why do alot of people own a 450??? hah... because they are fast... handle well and are fun.... about that simple. you try taking a corner as fast or manuver as well as you can on a 450 while your sitting on that tank of yours. we will see who ends up in the trees and who doesnt.

I rode a 450R. They say it's a better more comfortable quad. If that's comfort I'll keep my tank. Yeah the 450 is fast, but it's like riding a powerwheels on nitrous. When the world needs a better 450, Bomb will build it. Too each their own. IMO if I'm spending big money on a quad I want the best built one. Who cares if it's fast. The Raptor is fast, yet their reputation is worse than an early 90's Polaris. 450's are cool quads. Just not for someone like me who wants power & comfort AND reliability.
I didn't say a DS never loses to a 450. All I know is my friends DS & my DS have not lost to a 450, honda or yammy. Though I must admit I get by the skin of my teeth. I'll let the others speak for themselves. With Yamahas reputation for quality I would not be surprised to see slow 450s & very fast 450s coming off the same line. Their quality control & standardization seems to rival Fiat's.
