Default No Haulers in SoCal

I talked to Fullerton Sand Sports today and there will be no 10in Haulers of any type in any time soon due to a shortage of carcasses to make them from. Any one have any ideas where i can get 22x10 8 paddle extremes?

not sure of their name or phone number but i bought a set of 22x11x10 9 paddle haulers from the yamaha dealer in north bend oregon(search on yamaha's website for the dealer i would guess) a week or so ago while we were up there. They had one more set of 9 paddle and i didnt ask about 8 paddle. No sales tax since its oregon so that will offset the shipping costs.

I was told that the tire carcass that they used to make ultra light haulers was from a company Nankang and that they have gone out of business so as of right now the only way to get a set of ultra lights is if you have 2 good Nankang carcass haulers to send in to be triple buffed. Allot of regular haulers mostly 22" also used this tire so check what you have and if you have the right stuff they may be worth something if they can't find a good replacement for the triple buffs

There is no better sand tire for the DS than the Sand Tires Unlimited Padla Brat competition cut. The most expensive but worth every penny. Check at Fullerton with Joe Goodhand, I'm not affiliated, just a believer. The Extremes were really good, STUs are unbelieveable.

Spin,
What do you mean by triple buffed? Do they just shave off more of the carcass?

I picked up the last set of Nankang carcass haulers (22x11x10 9-paddle) from Fullerton just before Memorial weekend.

The tires are buffed in a process like used for retreading tires, roughed for bonding the new tread. 3 times through is tripple buffed removing the most rubber they can safely get away with. This is done for weight as the tire causes the biggest flywheel effect on the quad and gives the biggest perfomance gain. I was surprised to learn that the STU tires were lighter than the tripple buffs. Their rubber is removed with a hot knife by hand.

I bought my 21x12x8 haulers from fullerton the last pair they had since that size was discontinued. I would suggest that size if you can find them.

You can't get 8" wheels for a DS...
