Does your LTR have a power valve (87 & after)? Any mods? My LT had a Gnarly pipe, Uni air filter, otherwise stock. The hard part was keeping the front end down. It was MUCH faster than the fastest 400ex I ever rode, which had a big bore kit, higher gearing and larger carb. You'll be shifting into 4th when you pal goes to 3rd, and you will beat him from 25 yards out to infinity, or til your plug fouls.

 

If he bought a new 04 he will spank you. DON"T bet any money!!!!!!
j/k, of course the 2 stroke will kill it!

 

LOL, Unless it has a street bike engine or his q-racer sucks. There is nothing to worry about.

 

ozark38, why would it matter if it was a 2004 or not? Is there a difference between a 2004 400EX and the older model 400EX? Just wondering because I have a 2004 400EX and just wondering if I didn't know something.

Sick, the 04s have a bigger carb. Stock for stock, they are faster than previous models. Could just be the bold new graphics though.............[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
