Need some performance suggestions.
#1
Hi,
I own an 88 lt230s quadsport. I am heading out to the little sahara desert for my first time in the sand. I was wondering what performance suggestions anyone has for riding in the dunes. I would like to know what I can do to this quad to get dependable performance out of it. The only performance mods I have on it are......brand new ITP Blackwater 22X12.5X9 rears and a DG performance pipe on it. List anything from engine mods to suspension.

umm, might wanna consider a intake filter (just to be safe) and a fuel filter. It only takes one gram of dust, sand, dirt, whatever to screw up a motor just to tell you. and make the gears lower.

How well do you think I will get around in the sand dunes with the ITP blackwater tires? I am not expecting any highmarking with these tires but do you think I will get stuck alot without paddles?
Whats a good gear combo? I put 1 inch higher and 1 1/2 inches wider than stock tires on her.
If I put a filter kit on, will I have to rejet?
Thanks for the info.....guys.....also, I have just placed some pics on this site of my quad if you want to have a looksee.
