Clunking noise on 04 400
#1
Have an ac 400 and when riding the trails, hear a clunking noise from the rear??? Inspected for loose parts etc. noticed that the inside of the rear rims are scored.Like they are rubbing. The shock is extremely close to the rim and beleive that is the problem. Anyone else notice this or is it just me??? Is there a way to fix this??? Will be taking it back to the dealer but would like to get some input to find out if others are experiencing the same problems. If so will try and have ac cover it.

If you hear a clunking when you let of the throttle or going down a hill it is ussually the sound of the play in the driveline as the enginge braking kicks in. The sound is normal. I sometimes get gravel in behind the rear brake disc and wheel, it has rubbed off the paint.

I beleive at some point it is and think that is where the noise is coming from. There is probably a quarter of an inch (if that) between the shack and the rim. Just wondering if anyone else has this same problem or if something is not right with mine??? Possibly not put together right or something??
