Today I got a spacer and installed it. It wont start up like normal, i have to put the choke on and then when it starts up it revs out of control. Before I did this, it ran perfect.
Could it be that the throttle cable has been move 1/2" back? or im not sure what.

oh yea, its a yamaha blaster('93)

 

I assume you put on a reed spacer? your throttle cable is probably kinked somwhere or out of adjustment.

 

we kind of fixed the problem.
Now, when you put the choke on it idels fine and if you down put the choke on it revs high. Whats the problem?

 

Did you pull the slide out of the carburator at all. If so you could have put it back in backwards.

 

I found the problem...
I took it apart agin and found that the side if the reed gasket was broke and was hanging in the engine block..lol
Now I made a new gasket and put it back togather. Now it runs sweet. Need to adjust the mixture and idle.
I hope the 1/2" spacer w/ airfins helps, dont you guys tink?
We made it and are making some more to sell, Maybe you guys want one to buy. No one has ever made the kind that we have made. Ill try to post pics. THanks, you guys rock
