15 teeth on a Warrior???
#1
Geez man! I've only had my Warrior for a little over a month now so I'm still figuring stuff out.
I was wondering why it felt like it was geared so high. I though it had a stock front sprocket but I counted today and it's got a 15 tooth up front.
No wonder I felt like I was lacking a bit on the low end. It seemed like everything I raced would take me off the line and I would have to catch up in like 3rd gear or so. I was also wondering why I needed 1st gear to get up the big hills. I'm a big guy but I thought it was strange that 3rd gear seemed so fast in the woods.
I was gonna get a 12 tooth, but now I think I'll just got to a stock 13.

One tooth on the front is equal to 3 on the back..Dropping from a 15 to a 12 will be quite a jump. I would put it back to stock and see how that does for you. But remember that going smaller up front will cause you to loose top speed.

Increasing the teeth on the front sprocket will make you go faster, but you will loose some of that bottom end "snap" that you had before..decreasing the teeth will do the exact opposite, It will make you slower, but give you more bottom end power..
Changing the rear sprocket is the opposite, more teeth = power, while less teeth =speed.

spider - if your top speed was 59 with 13/40 and you went to 14/42, you will now go a little faster, around 61. My buddies went 59 and we dropped a tooth in the front to 12/40 and it works great for the woods, but only goes 54-55 now.

Those are both going to give you more top end speed and you will lose alot of the snap that you have. 14/40 will move you up into the low 60's if you can pull it and the 15/40 would you close to 70, but there is no way that the stock engine will pull it. You will still only be able to hit like maybe 63-64 flat out with the 15/40 if you are lucky, downhill stiff wind, because you wont be able to pull it.
