Default new tires this week...concerned with tube vs. flat tires

I really have to get some new tires for my vinson this week. I want a tire that is relatively flat on the bottom almost like the kenda bear claws (6 ply)...however im concerned with the short lugs on them. But they are one of the only "flat" tires out there with a good all terrain tread. im sure anything would be better than my dunflops are. I want to get maximum tread...have a 6 ply rating...flat as possible but give me the best all around ride. (i love to hammer the throttle coming up out of whoops which sometimes results in my front tires coming down on the middle of a whoop which with the dunflops bounces me around.)

I was considering the mud lites in 26 inch size...or the bear claws in stock 25" size. I navigate a lot of tight trails that I made myself in between trees and I'd like to not lose the ability to do that by going with 26's which are generally only available in wider patterns. Somebody please sell me on the idea of which tire I should get and why. I am open to suggestion and I NEED to get new tires this week. I have 589s on an older eiger and they seem to handle crappy in the sand but absorb bumps with ease.

I have all the mods below by the way.

gotta bump this..

if i do a lot of riding on whoops etc etc and I love the landing feel that 589s give me minus their sand/all terrain performance what should i do?

I have the 589s on my eiger 400 by the way.

I cannot decide if I want to do 25's all around or jump it up to 26's.

However I do want a deep lug which will not be too heavy with the argument that I would like to still be able to navigate through the already tight squeeze trails that I've made which somewhat eliminates 25's plus theres nothing with a deep lug in 25s.

i was debating over mud lites (light weight, deep lug in 26") dirt devils possibly (however i want light weight with best all around performance) bear claws (too shallow of tread even if you go to 26") or possibly the GBC gators (heavy I hear and mud only)

Again I do constant riding through whatever gets into my path...mud water sand streams with sharp rocks that kinda thing. Want tires by end of this week please help.

update...just ended up picking up some ITP mudlites 26x12x12 for rears and 26x10x12 for fronts. Haven't gotten chance to ride them yet they seem enormous and my b ike seems to be soo much higher which im not too happy about. But i'll let you know about the handling. I'm sure the bike will still be a hell of a lot more stable than the crappy dunflops were (they'd "sway" almost I wanna say.)

these things are mean looking...however the tires alone seemed by hand to be heavier than my old tires and rims combined. How much performance should I expect to lose?
