Default yfz 450 air intake filter systems

what air intake filter system is the best for the yfz450. eddie sanders makes one that eliminates the air box. alba make a pro-flow with a k&N filter. then there is the pro-design kit with a k&n filter. also what is the difference between the alba kit & pro-design kit the alba kit is alot cheaper. does it not come with a big k&n filter. any info would be great. thanks

ESR works pretty good Ive seen side by side testing with and with out even switching riders and it did increase the overall speed of the 450 by about 1 to 11/2 lenght in a 300' run Approx . And you can add your boondocker kit right to the filter

The ESR kit eliminates the restrictive bend in the stock air passage. I met a guy who tested it against the stock set up and it was a proven improvement.

bump. i still would like to know the difference between the pro design kit with a k&n filter as opposed to the alba kit with k&n. the only reason i ask is the pro-design kit retails for 169 the alba kit for 99. is the difference in the filter one is bigger than the other. any info would be great

Go with the ESR all you ned to do is pull off the tube that connects to the airbox and see the little tiny passage at the crimped bend. You can plainly see it is killing airflow!
