Voltage regulator and tail light bulbs
#1
Im now on my second aftermarket voltage regulator and Im still going through tail light bulbs. Anybody know where to go from here(new stock regulator). I may just try wiring two led marker lights in series to replace my marker light function of the tail light. At least there I can cut the voltage in half.

You can buy aftermarket led bulbs that are a direct replacement for the stock tail light bulb.
Just curious, what other aftermarket electrical accessories are you running? Extra head lights? High wattage headlights? Aftermarket CDI with higher/no rev limit?
I'm not convinced it's the regulator's fault. In fact, that fact you are on a second aftermarket regulator/rectifier tells me there is something else going on here.

Im not a big fan of the led tail light bulb. I did have one with my stock regulator but also burnt that out as well.
The only electricall accessory Im running is an oil pressure gauge, which takes its power from the power to the tach.
I went through a tail light bulb on a previous aftermarket regulator. However, the company had a line of defective regulators which would not allow the battery to charge. I only got a weekend out of that regulator.
On my current regulator I did get about an hour out of the bulb, were on my stock about 15 minutes would be about it. Have people been noticing better quality bulbs lasting long?
