Default Suzuki 50 and 80, 2 Strokes, Do You Need To PreMix

As you know Suzuki 50 and 80 are 2 strokes and the oil is separate from gas, but some people still do premix(mixing oil and gas)

Is premix good for 50cc and 80cc Suzukies.

you have to pre-mix all 2-stoke motor's gas and oil together. Their should only be one tank.

Sorry dude, I am affraid you are simply wrong.

Suzuki 50 and 80 have gas tank and a small plastic tank for oil.

Do you have premix oil and gas on LT50 and LT80 Suzuki.

It's probably an oil injection system. If it's working properly then you don't have to premix.

Sam is correct. Alot of people prefer to mix their own because they know exactly what they're running, and the injection systems tend to be a little on the rich side. You can do it on yours but you need to bypass the injection system first. Hope this helps..........

I think all you have to do is to put gas in the tank and thats all.

No need for premix, I think it will be bad for the bike.

I have an LT80. It has the oil injection system on it,. You do have to use injection oil in the oil tank under the seat, and unmixed gas in the gas tank. You can of course convert it to a pre-mix only if you want to. I will be doing that to mine soon since it's the only quad I have that does not use premix at the moment.

I bought an 87 LT80 from a guy whose boys had pounded it into the ground, ended up putting a new piston in it, my son rode it for almost 6 years after that, sold it to my buddy, his boy ran it 3 years, and now he sold it, and it is still running fine with the original oil injection system with not one problem. I always liked the fact I could just dump gas in and go, the tank under the seat held enough oil for many tankfuls of gas, so I always used top quality injection oil, barely smoked and ran great. For racing or extreme power output, taking off the injector and using premix is probably safer, but for everyday use, or mild sport running or a race now and then, the factory injection system is fine, and very reliable.
