--Step 1: Install Pipe, filter & jets--Step 2: Shear all the teeth off front sprocket with newfound power!

Well it just happened. I just installed my new Yoshi pipe, proflow and jet kit three days ago. It SERIOUSLY pumped up the power of my 04 Raptor. So much so, that today will laying down the hammer in second gear and pulling a serious power wheelie every tooth on my stock front sprocket sheared completely off. While it sucks that it broke, it is kinda cool that such a small mod can produce that kind of power.
So what is the moral of this story?....Don't hop up your $hit unless you have the money to upgrade the other affected parts of your quad.
I've got my wallet out and would appreciate any recommendations (Brands) of chain/spockets to get me rolling again.

Mine did the same thing after installing G3 Power Curve Reed pedals
and rejetted. I forgot to regear like I was supposed to. I went out on blacktop for a 300ft run, broke 4 teeth completely off and chipped 3 more.
Stupid high performance quads, eh?

omg are u serious?!?!?!?!, u say u have to regear right? does that mean taller or lower? cause if u go taller its just knocking u back down to where u started....right?

I agree with the loose chain idea....
I also agree that the yoshi pipe/ airbox mod and jetting does bring the raptor to a new level in power
I was at a drag while back in sand and with my stock tires...I was just goofin around and was surprised how fast my bike was compared to some of the others...didnt ever win...just surprised I was as close as I was with all the armor/my weight/ no paddles...etc to similar bikes...yeah the alky bikes caused me to drink some water afterwards, but the gasoline bikes didnt make me scared to race

Either your chain was too tight or your primary was seriously worn out to begin with.
Seriously, think about it. If adding a few mods and couple of horse to your bike did that, a drag Rap pumping out 60-70 hp could never make it down the track. He would shear the teeth off right from the green light.
Wake up, have some coffee!!!

Your Chain was definitly to loose! While your replaceing the Sprocket check the chair for premature wear and, damage!

Cause and effect is one of the most difficult concepts to think about. Doctors and scientists spend many years, learning about cause and effect, and filtering thru the bs.
It would be just as accurate, and as meaningful, if your statement read "I had a glass of water today, and then the teeth on my sproket sheared off....so the water must have done it".
Most likely the sproket was on the way out, and the changes you made were the straw that broke the camels back.
Make sure you change the back sproket and chain too.

Straw breaking camels back or whatever......
My quad is only a couple of months old, I check over it before and after every ride, I maintain the heck out of it and checked the chain and axle nuts minutes before the sprocket sheared. The chain was tight, with just enough slack. Maybe the sprocket metal was weak i dunno..... I know the Raptor pulls like hell and I just hopped it up with the pipe and all. You draw your own conclusions and I will draw mine. Maybe when I get to the expert knowledge level you guys are at then I can criticize as effortlessly as you do. My question of sprocket recommendations still remains unanswered, thanks.

I think you took most of the comments wrong..
I don't doubt your ability to maintain your machine....it's just that I have seen a bunch of piped raptors...it is a difference from stock for sure..but the power is not out of control different. Not so much as to fatigue sprockets as you mention.
My idea of what happened to you was exactly that...just my idea.
You asked for opinions..and we gave them. Take it at that.
