I have the UNI foam using No Toil's foam filter oil. I have read about one that HP Research uses and gives great gains though.

I gave my brother my k&n air filter. Now I'm using a No-Toil air filter.

jeffroe is right, the K&N will out last all of
them and stands up to the true test
some real riding.. easy to clean and alot stronger

out of the box no-toil might flow better
but after a while when your cleaning the foam all the time
and they are retested for flow K&n is hands down better

drag racing go no-toil, real riding and durability k&N

so the K&N is actually good on the ds650 but i sure had bad experiences with em on my warrior the foam seal on the air filter always ripped and came apart no matter how carefull you were with them then if u didnt check them and it was ripped or comming unglued your engine prob be gone so thats why i didnt want K&N again.

The crappy airbox design on the Warrior was the main problem there. You should not have a problem with the DS's clamp-on design. I've got both K&N and Uni, I like the K&N better.

I second DCryder. I own a Warrior and a K+N filter. I just reglued that gasket whenever needed, it had no problems with it after that. But it is not K+N's fault for the bad design.

So, K&N with or without the pre-filter? Can this be used instead of the stock filter setup without rejetting or any other adjustments? What if any performance difference is there with these filters from the stock setup?

Thanks,
Kaz
