Default banshee tranny: dog teeth aren't meshing right...

I can't seem to figure it out, and believe me i've tried. whenever i go to shift the dog teeth in the tranny keep running into each other instead of meshing together like they should, which is causing me to get stuck between gears which isn't fun. It's like they are out of sync or something. I've checked shift forks, gears, shift shaft, shift star, and the shift cam. Nothing seems to be bent, broken or out of place. I'm dumbfounded, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Check for any arc-shaped wear or burn marks on the shift forks. This indicates that the shift fork has remained in contact with the gear, if the shift fork fingers have become worn they might be your problem... Check each gear for excessive wear.... Gears should slide smoothly without any excessive play or roughness....
