After the previous owner of My lt melted a few pistons I figured id take precautions to make sure this wont happen again. I jetted richer and added a 20 fin supercooler. Out of curiosity I borrowed my dad's Snap On lazer gun that gives you the temperature of anything you point it at. My lt runs the water temp at about 140 degrees and the cylinder and exhaust pipe are about 160. Is this normal or am I running hot. The bike was well warmed up when I did this. It was about 80 degrees out the day i checked the engine temp.

That seems good because i have a temp gun and after about 1 gallon through it it runs at 201F for me next to the spark plug. Ide belive over 250 is overheating. Check your jets maybee running to lean.
