Anybody seen any replacements for the skid plate on my 350? I'm getting tired of welding all the breaks on the factory unit and it's obviously not a very sturdy plate anyhow. I need something effective and hopefully under $100. It's getting harder to find aftermarket stuff for these old bikes. Thanks, Max

Look up www.prm-atv.com They have one for $83. they look well built. I dont own one tho. I have bought graydon proline skids. They are built very well. I dont know if they make one for the x.

Being that I usually run 18 inch tires on 8 inch rims on my X I ripped my aftermarket skid off. It wasnt because of the skid being low quality but because of the low pro tires. I broke the little thin brakets that you screw the skid onto. Anyway I have been going without a skid for a long time so unless you are a log jumper or a mud rider you dont need one.Your trike might feel naked but it really isnt.

It's really just the rocks that scare me the most. It affects the way I ride in some areas because I'm conscious of the brake disk being vulnerable.

Try www.atvsalvage.com

They had some aluminium skid plates but there was a minimum order. I don't remember how much they were or what the minimum order was but you may find something there.
