Default Banshee Shocks on a Raptor?

I found a set of Works shocks off a Banshee cheap and am wondering how they would work on my raptor. They are 1 in shorter than the Raptor shocks and I am looking into a lowering kit.

Has anyone tried this?

Banshee shocks are horrible. The only way I would use a Banshee shock is aftermarket.

Well they are works... better than stock but not a huge leap.

What kind of shocks? Triple rate, dual rate, w/ or w/o res, at steelers or pro?

I say save yourself the hassle for the minimal improvement.

If they are a nice set in good shape by works standards they should be a worthwhile improvement. The valving and spring setup is important though. You would probably need a set of shee shocks set higher than you would your raptor shocks. For instance, if you weigh 175 pounds, then you will need a shock valved and sprung for a heavier rider and/or extended a arms because it is valved according to banshee specs, not raptor.

If its a really good deal, I think its a good move. If you think you can get the money together for a nicer set, then wait and save up.

They have 3 springs and remote reservoirs. The mounts are a bit smaller but can be fixed with spacing. I was kind of wondering how differnt the spring rates would be.
