beleive me,i love 2 stroke,,and whatever the best oil you use,,
you must always run GOOD gas,it is a lot more important than oil on reliability for a 2 stroke,,regular synthetic or racing is the way to go,,mineral oil or used just for braked-in period process today.
rebuilt the top end will ONLY depend if you use good gas or not,,
unless your's engine is up to 75 hp or more...
they don't have an crankcase oil drain but some counter balance as well,

Any synthetic oil will do your motor good, and combined with supreme gas..you should be fine. Keep it at 32:1
You should change the oil (clutch case) when ever you feel is necessary. I change mine about twice a month, but depending on how often I drive it.
If your not into racing, then a rebuild shouldn't be too big of a problem. I went 4 years on the original top end on my blaster before I started to mod it.. Like anything, If you take care of it, it'll take care of you.

Other then that, if you keep the fittings on the front end greased, cleaned, and lubed, then all should be well. Don't forget about your air filter..It's a very important part that often gets forgoten. Keep it clean and oiled.

never heard of a stock bike blowing up because the gas was bad. Keep the mixture at 32:1. If its a stock bike you can run virtually any fuel that the gas station will sell you.

The drain plug is on the bottom of the motor.

any synthetic oil will run fine on a 32:1 to 60:1 70:1 ratio.
it all depend on reliability versus performance periods.
at 32:1 to you have full reliability but it is on the rich side for
extended longer lasting time.

I changed the crankcase oil in my old 250R after every ride. It only held 750mL so it was cheap to do. i ride in alot of mud and water. Do a compression test on your bike when it is new or rebuilt and then check it once a year. When it starts to drop dramatically it is time for a rebuild. I run 32:1 mix. Whatever you diecide to run for mix don't change it with out changing your jetting as it will make your bike run rich or leaner. I just run yamalube in mine.

Being a 2-stroke, the oil only lubricates your bottom end and your clutch. The drain plug is on the bottom of the motor. Take that out, drain all the old oil, and then re-fill to the right level. There is a window on the side of the motor that you are souposed to use to make sure the oil is at the right level. However, that Yamaha Blaster only takes 650ML of oil. So if you put that much in it, even tho it might not be up the the right spot on the window if it's not leaking don't add any more. Putting in more oil then you need can be just as bad as not putting in enough. There is a plastic cap on the right side of the motor. Thats where you add the new oil.

Hope this helps.
