i was just at my local bomb/polaris dealer and saw the new 05 pred. man that thing is awesome lookin. very comfortable to sit on. the reason im gettin it is because the ds is so damn big. When i got it i thuoght i would like how big it is. but when i get stuck its just a pain in the butt to move around. plus the new pred has reverse. which is awesome. I wanted a sport bike with reverse but the only good choice i thought that had it was the raptor and everybody and their mother has one. so i wanted to be different and get the biggest and baddest atv around. ya it was fun at first but now its just a pain in the butt. Its to damn big for me.
Ill let you know how the new pred's are when i get mine.

I know what you mean about big, I'm a big guy at 6-8" tall, and the DS suits me perfectly.
The ds is just too big for a lot of people.
But don't get too all keyed up about having reverse, its really not what its cracked up to be. When people with reverse get stuck, they hold everybody in the group up longer by playing with it, trying to rock back and forth in and out of reverse trying to get unstuck, when it would've been much quicker just picking up the bumper or grab bar in the first place.

 

I agree, reverse is nice for backing out of tight situations but once your stuck reverse is most likely not going to get you out of a hole. Your still going to have to get off and lift her out.

also usually when im riding we will always wonder off the trail or go to dead ends and while everyone else is doing a nice 3 point turn with reverse i have to get off and push it to turn it around. thats really a pain in the butt.
