I'm looking for the snap ring that goes on the left side (drivers side) of the carrier. You have to remove it to get the carrier out of the swingarm. It is about 2 3/4 inches big. I've checked with a Bomb dealer who can't find it on his parts list. I've checked auto parts places and none have one that big. Anyone know where I could buy a bunch since they are so hard to find?????

I probably have one. I just dont want to tear down my quad to figure out what size it is. is it internal or external?

 

It's external. You dont have to tear apart axle to see it. It's on the outside of the carrier on the left side. It's to the outside of the bracket that the brake caliper attaches too. The carrier has a groove that it sits in on the left side (driver side).

 

yea, but I would still be guessing the size. without being able to match it right up to another one. there are sizes that are very close, and would be hard to tell.

 

It's 2 3/4 inches (around 71mm from what I remember). Can you suggest somewhere where I can order big snap rings?

 

I will look for that size. I am leaving town this morning, for a week. I would be glad to send a couple for the cost of shipping. as I will never deplete this supply in a life time. I would not know who to check with for snap rings in maryland. pm me later this week.
