Wondering how much a 1987 Honda 250x is worth. My niegbor is offering it to me for 1200. It been ridden hard. It's rusted. Tires are ok...one has a patch. The engine is running rough right now...carb needs to be cleaned. Is this a good price or is this Quad gonna fall apart in a year or so. I'm just gonna be taking it trail riding every Saturday or so. Thanks!

 

get it fixed and yes but you will want more power after a while i suggest getting something bigger it is only a 250x

 

I would shop around. I think you can find a decent older 250ex for around $1500. It might not be mint but it should be ready to ride. A little more might get you an early 300ex too.

 

buy a 250x its faster and better for trails then 250ex and 300ex
