Hey all, I was just lookin at some ppls pics and talonhawk and a few others have some nerf bars on their quads. I would like to get some for mine and TalonHawnks AC Pro-peg nerf bars looks kick ***! I went to a few sites and none of them had nerf bars for scrambler except HSP. Is there a set of bars that fit scamblers as well as something else? or how are you people doing this?! It is a mystery to me! lol
Anyways any help would be appreciated

You have to buy some and modify them. Banshee or Raptor bars work well. I have the Banshee pro-pegs. They went on ok, a few cuts here and there.

 

how long did it take ya to modify? I don't have the tools in my garage to do much of anything let alone the space. But my uncle can so I might look into those. Thx man and by the way, ur bike is comin along nice! it is gonna kick ***

 

AC banshee nerfs work real well. Just a little cutting. I have never regretted getting rid of the floorboard and going with nerfs. I can really stretch my legs out on those long rides. I've got pics in my photo page.

 

ya i had to cut a few notches in the bars for them to fit through the frame and i just had to buy longer bolts

 

From what I've seen, it looks like the banshee bars are alittle easier to cut to fit
than the raptor bars. I preferred the look of the AC pro nerf bars because they
have the heel guards.

 

I did mine a little different than most, since i had the whole thing down to the frame anyway. I removed the floorboards and their supports, them welded 2 short peices of tubing onto the frame on each side, the bars just slide onto that tubing then i put a bolt through to hold them. It took awhile to get them right, then i had them on and took one back off because i thought it stuck out too far, but they are on their now. I also had to modifly my brake lever a little.

 

Can someone who has modified the ac pro peg nerf bars for the banshee email me somewhat detailed instructions on what all needs to be done to get them on a 2003 scrambler 500. my email is krafka84@gmail.com
