DSX Rims very dull, anyone polish them up somehow??

has anyone tried polishing or sanding down that layer on top of the rims, mine got scratched a little bit and they are very shiny underneath. just wondering has anyone tried doing anything to them?? to make them look better

I sanded and polished the reinforcement rings, painted the rest of the wheel black. Be prepared to use a lot of elbow grease and time. There's one pic in my gallery but they don't look all that shiney in the shade. I'll have to go take some new pics.

First you need to sand the paint off the wheel with sandpaper, or any other type of sanding tool. Yes, it is a b!tch. The better job of sanding you do, the better the polishing goes.......and looks. I polish with a die grinder w/a polishing wheel. You can pick up everything you'll need at a Lowes or Home Depot.
