Default New Raptor problem

Ok, so it stopped burning oil and the power is back. But my only problem is in 1st gear, I take off and its ine until I push the throttle 3/4 of the way in and it cuts out. It only does it in first gear. No oil burning. Just cutting out. It cant be the jetting because I've never had the problem before up until 2 days ago. Before that, it ran fine. Im confused. Thanks guys.

anyone else in your neighborhood own a raptor?/ if so i would suggest borrowing his cdi box and plugging it into your raptor and see if it still gives you the same problems..

I was just told my float valve could be stuck. And or/ my pilot jet has something cutting it out.

First gear generally hits the limiter VERY easily. It also shower a jetting problem much easier than the other gears. I'd say your hitting the limiter, if it doesn't have the problem in any other gears I wouldnt worry about it. I can't get passed half throttle on my YFZ in first gear without it cutting out very badly. The gear is so low that it allows the engine to rev to its peak very quickly, thats why it hits the limiter easier.

yep, my new 04 acted like that a few weeks back and almost left it at home, but took a screwdriver and put the handle against the carb bowls and tapped it lightly with a hammer on both sides and it all of a sudden ran fine since...
