We'll be staging near the Pink Store on M33 and Hughes Lake Road around 10a Saturday morning. We have my X, Sportsman 700, Z400, 450R and a Raptor. We'll ride to McKinley for lunch, then to the Bull Gap hill.

I'm not sure how busy it is on holiday weekends. This will be my first trip outside of a regular weekend. I would see if there's someone you could call. I know the two campgrounds you mentioned are U.S.F.S. campgrounds where you can ride right from the campsite.

Hey Guys,

How far is the pink store from Mckinley and how long does it take? I will be in Atlanta late friday and I'm trying to talk my buddy into going back down to the parking lot by the pink store on M-33 and riding the Bull Gap trails on Saturday or Sunday. I have my X and my buddy has a raptor. He just wasn't sure if we could make it from gas station to gas station safley. Also I've been told, by a somewhat unreliable source, that the Bull Gap trails are extremley narrow. Like my X will bearly fit. Is this true? I've been to the hill a couple of times but I've never rode any of the trails.

I'll be their on a black 01 ds Friday nite and leaveing Mon morning. Yes if the weather is nice it'll be busy. I called up their a month ago and I was looking for a camp ground site and only had one left. But know my luck my girlfriends mom is using the camper I planed on takeing up their and my buddies cant find a camper either so that sucks. But we will be their in a tent or something. But I ride up their every winter I don't have any problem making it to one gas station to the next. But the actual Bull Gap trails are very narrow but you will fit my 01 does atleast. I will be up their with a 02 Rubicon a 03 CRF 450 a 250ex 01 DS and my other buddie will have to rent one. But you all will have fun at Bull Gap it is alsome drag racing up that hill.

I would say that less the 50% of the trails are narrow. They're not too narrow to get the Bomb caddy through. I've taken my X there on three occasions and a portion of the riding is on open fire roads where two cars could pass one another. Many of the other trails in the system are snowmobile trails, no problem there either. I've been on at least 50% of the trail system on both sides of M33 and haven't had to turn around yet. I stay right with a Rappy and Z400. This is the best trail system in the Lower Peninsula me and my boys have found yet.

You can ride from the Pink store to McKinley on a half tank of gas or less. There's a gas station in McKinley to fill up, then can ride right into Mio for a refuel as well. We've had no problem getting to the towns for lunch, a beer and gas.

Check the link out above. Each square represents a square mile. In five hours, we've driven from Mio to the Pink Store, filled up, then shot up to McKinley (lunch and fuel), then back to Mio. Great ride.
