Default FCR Carbs - What causes the flat spot right off idle?

I was told this is normal but I DONT LIKE IT!! If I am at idle and punch it, it will fall on its face. But if I gradually give it gas it goes real strong. I dont get it?? Is it my needle settings?

The reason being is because the fcr's have an excelerator pump that pumps fuel like crazy into the intake ports. In other words a rich condition stumble!!!
But there is hope it is adjustable!!

Thats the way it was setup by Sparks racing with my 690. I have heard from several people that it can be adjusted but didnt know where the adjustment was. I asked Curtis why is that but he insisted that I keep it that way but I dont like it.
