450r Transmission Oil change
#2
What do you mean the gears feel slippery? Do you mean the clutch is slipping? If you used the right oil your clutch shouldn't slip at all after an oil change.

Check that owners manual, and you will see that it also recommends HP Trans Oil, as well as HP4 (without moly). My first choice for the trans would be HP Trans Oil, then HP4 (synth blend), and GN4 (dino oil) would be my absolute last choice. In the engine, I run HP4M (a JASO MB oil with moly).
Where I live it is hot, and I would rather have the protection of an 80W/85W oil. If I lived in cold country, I would probably run Honda HP4 10W-40 in my trans for the winter. (If you go to Honda's Canadian web site, there are also some lighter winter oils available.)
See this article is you have not already. Everything that pertains to the CRF's, also goes for the 450R.
