i just got offered to buy a friends beartracker. i think it is a late 90s model like 1996/7 for 100 bucks first and second gear dont work and the battery is constantly dead. what do you think could be wrong with it and how much do you think it would cost to fix it. i need to call the guy back soon before he sells it to somebody else so please help

hell you could prob part it out for more than 100 bucks the frames prob worth 50 if u wanted to get rid of it fast..

 

Tranny went bad? Dunno. Sounds awesome for 100 bucks. go for it. And you can buy an exact replacement battery at PEP Boys for like 40 bucks. They are really fun to ride. Something is wrong with mine though and it doesn't get spark. And I don't think its the Stator because it doesn't start even whenever I pull start it. Oh well..I say go for it.

 

i just worked him down to 60 and then i bought it. it has a back up pull start so i just started it like that. you can ride it around you just have to rev high in 1st to make it to third without stalling it is a 92 or a 93 and it runs really good except for the gear.

 

Yeah man thats a steal for 60 bucks would have prob been a steal for 200

does anybody know what could have caused it and hopw hard it would be to fix it. right now i am just riding it. but is this going to hurt it alot more or anything
