Take the 4 screws off on the bowl (the bottom of the carb). The main jet is right there. For the needle, you have to take the brass cover off the top. Then take the spring out. then you can take the needle out by pulling the plastic piece out in the middle (I believe the plastic is white). It just pulls out and snaps back in with pliers. Be careful of the rubber boot and inspect it also.

I recommend taking the carb off the bike before even trying to break the four screws on the float bowl. Select this link. for screw information. The screws are a biYch to get out. We had to cut a flat head into three of the four just to break the seal. Now jetting is a breeze with the stainless screw cap screws.

Here is the trick for those screws. Don't even put a screwdriver to them....they are made of ultrasoft metal and will strip quicker than your daughter on prom night. Get a pair of the small needlenose vicegrips, lock them on to the screw from the side and turn.....you will hear a small popping sound when they break loose. Then use a screwdriver to turn them the rest of the way out. Then toss those screws in the trash.(in no way try to reuse them) Go to Lowes, or your local hardware store and buy replacement STEEL internal wrenching (Allen) screws. I think they are 5mm but take one of your old screws to compare threads to make sure you get the right ones.
Works great.

Have fun

I did the cut a slot into the screw method once, it sucked. The second time I drilled the head off, took five minutes. All you have to do is be careful and not a moron to not drill into the carburetor.

The screws you need are three 4x10mm and one 4x12mm. Ideally get stainless steel.
