Hot Rod Kits

What is a hot rod kit and what does it do? And is there a way of knowing if I have one or not? I have an extra engine and the guy I got it from says it has one in it.

its just a aftermarket rod it will say hot rod right on it.

Is like a Stroker? Does it change the stroke at all?

no its a replacement rod. the rod has nothing to do with stroke.
