Default Sportsman in the snow?

Hello,

I'm considering buying an 05 700EFI (when they finally show up!) and since winter/hunting is coming was curious what success folks have with them in the snow... do they just sink? do they plow ahead? should I consider "chaining up?" thanx!

It just depends on how deep the snow is (and what condition the snow is in), and the condition of your tires. I don't have any problems up to about 2 ft, and I pull the kiddies on sleds and tubes in the snow.

However, last spring I was stuck in about 3 ft of snow and my winch wouldn't even pull me out.

Yea what whitewater said. My 400 sportsmans plow right through the snow like it wasn't there. My scrammy however doesn't compare.

Well, it's not a snowmobile. I wouldn't try going through any more than 2 feet without something solid beneath the snow. Getting these things unstuck is a major pain...
