400ex Mods?

Default 400ex Mods?
My family just added an 00' ex to the stable. Any hints on finding extra hp for cheap out the ex??

Will the 400ex benefit from changing the stock gearing??

my 400 did ok with K&N exhaust and jetting and no regearing.
