i wouldnt recommend it.....lte's are for looks not hp, you get better airflow with one pipe

What?? The LTE's may be a bit pricey, but let me tell ya they perform as good as they look. My buddy has 2 Raps that have had White Bros E Series, FMF, DMC Alien, LTE's, and Sparks pipes...and the Sparks and LTE's outperformed all of the above in a drag by a good margin, which is what he kept.

As you can see I don't have a Rap....so why would I be biased??

I agree, I have a DMC Dual on one and the LTE on the other...I have ran FMF, White Bros, Graydon and Bill's pipes and none of them preform as well as the LTE did on the 400ex. Here's the thing, as far as horsepower goes, I doubt it will be anything substantial, (as none of the full systems on the 400 generate more than 3-4 HP. The key is torque, it created tons of torque and on a stock 400ex running Sand Stars, I can beat piped z400's on Comp Hill...and I weigh 220lbs...I rev out in third up the hills where as the DMC quad barely pulls 3rd, and oh yes, we have swapped systems with the same results so it was a fair comparison. Plus I like the mellower tone as it doesn't drone in your head after a while, and the rangers don't give it a second look.
As for price, if you were to price a complete exhaust and polished aluminum airbox, you'd be paying near or exactly the same, so the "value" is there.
I am one of the first to have the chance to run them in the dunes here in Cali, got them in '03 and want another set for the red 400.

Check the pics to see the LTE setup.

your getting 2 pipes and an aluminum air-box the box alone is like 200 so were looking at 550 for pipes and the better pipes out on teh market are 500 and you only get one so its noth that much money if you think about it

so, i've been hearing all kinds of power improvements and stuff, like 12.5hp increase, and stuff like this... that doesnt really seem realistic at all, so what would be a reasonable number, and is the power all low or high, or what?? thanks

ineedtoride-I can tell you that most of the fastest 440exs 0r 416s that i see on the dunes where i ride have the LTE dual system and they also have the side benefit of being one of the quietest systems out there.

Ineedtoride, there are no complete exhaust systems alone that will add anything nearinf 12hp....a more accurate increase is 2.5 to 3.5 on any system. Torque numbers are rarely mentioned but that is in fact where this system shines. It pulls very hard at the bottom and still breathes nicely up top. I'd say the seat of the pants tells me more is in the upper low to high mid range as far as increases go...it just loves to pull gears now.

thats what i kind of thought... just because its a pipe that everyone seems to like the performance of, but it didn't really display amazing hp gains or anything like that...
