Default No Spark Nightmare

Hey,

I have a 2001 Polaris Sportsman 400. The ground wire burnt up coming from the coil to the stator plate. After the smoke cleared from the hood area i saw it had burnt right through the wire on one spot. I joined the wire and the machine started right up like nothing happened. When back in the shop I replaced the ground wire and all the others that were damaged due to the heat, the spark plug wire, and the spark plug end cap. the wire is grounded, the harness does carry a current , the stator has been tested and is fine. Does it sound like a coil or the ignition? Im pretty fusterated bout this, iv been down 4 weeks not knowing why. So if anyone knows somthing to suggest please do. thank u

>Would anybody have a wireing diagram for my machine?

>Would anybody no what the black module is up front under the hood on the rad gaurd, with 3 wires going to it coming from the stator?

Thankz

Chris
