Default Raptor jetting overview

Could somebody just give me an overview of what everything does when jetting a carb? I want to know what moving the needle does. I want to know any thing about jetting a carb so when I get into mine I don't have to do it exactly the way somebody else has it. So I will know what needs to be changed or adjusted for a certain outcome. Thanks for the help.

An over view? when jetting your carb, all you need to adjust is your main jets, needles maybe, and the mixture screws for your set-up in your sig.
Needles control gas, I figure such because when i moved my needles to the forth clip, it spewed gas out, and on the 3rd clip is ran awesome. You'll want bigger main jets and remember the right side will always take a bigger main then the left. You mixtures screws you can access without taking any cover off, just turn them in until nice and snug, then turn them out 2 3/4 or 3 full turns out. I've never heard of anyone else having to run anything differently.

Also, if you're working on your Raptor carb, things to be aware of, the eight small gold screws on the bottom of the carb are extremely soft, make sure you have the perfect size screwdriver, also if you have needle nose vice-grips use them to break the lock on them (I used vice grips and it didn't scar the bolts, my friend didn't and just used a screwdriver and stripped three of the screws). Hope I help a little.

Oh and give this a little look at Powerband picture (small for dial-up users)
