what are you using ? pipe, cams, suspention, carbs? has any one tried the suspention kit sold on e-bay here

For my son's 6th birthday I upgraded his quad from a KFX 50 to the TRX 90. So now I am working on some modifications for him. The up grade in power is enough for him for now ( and gears, his favorite part) so I been looking more for the handling and aesthetics as he would like his quad to look like dads. Yes I bought the suspension / widening kit on e- bay. The kit is hella stout but was lacking some spacers readily available at the hardware store. This kit gives you a lot of options as far as shocks to use( from 9 inch to 13 inch depending on the configuation you choose, I have 13 inch WORKS on the way.). And your width is either 4 or 6 inches wider. I also added DG nerf bars and was able to redrill and use the heel guards. Next I will work on trying to get a good 13 inch shock for the back for real travel.

 

106 cc big bore kit, Big Gun race series exhaust - that's it so far!

 

Now: Airbox mod, k&N filter, jet kit, Super Trap silencer, DG bumper, ITP alumninum rims with 18x8.5x8 rear tires and 20x6x10 fronts, Maier plastic

Next: Longer travel suspension with better shocks, hot cam, higher compression, aluminum skid plate and nerfs/pegs, lighting coil for headlight.

Dreaming: CR80 engine, Dual A-arms, lengthened swing arm. wider stance

Other possibilities: Briggs& Stratton World Formula or Animal engine (used) with Comet torque convertor.

how big of a differance does the big gun exhaust do i just ordered one

 

Skid plate and a bumper........this thing gets ridden by crazy kids. Why would I want to mod the engine so they could go even faster????

 

Not a single mod to my son's TRX 90. Why? For one, it goes fast enough for the conditions we ride in. Next...my son is 8 and having Aspergers Disorder(high functioning autistic) he has his "quirks" and surprisingly.....he handles his 90 just fine in stock form. This boy can't even ride a bicycle!

I just can't see dumping money into the 90 and if the time comes as he ages and his size increases....he can step up in size to a 250 then on from there.
